Reliance Jio Prime Membership ends tomorrow
Reliance Jio Prime Membership deadline will be over today which will mean that Prime members with access to Jio suite of apps and other freebies will no longer getting the access. The company, however, has teased that an upcoming Prime membership plan is on its way. Reliance Jio may rename the Prime membership as Jio Juice if a new company teaser is to be believed. Update: Reliance Jio has announced what happens to Jio Prime members after March 31. Existing Jio Prime members will get these benefits.
While we expect a new Prime Membership plan from the telecommunication company, nothing is certain as of now, however, the fact that with Rs 99, Prime subscribers have been availing access to special plans with additional data benefits for more than a year, means that Reliance will be in no mood to let this exclusivity end. For those unaware, Reliance announced Prime membership first in February last year and announced the validity to end on March 31. Reliance had announced that it now has over 160 million users on its network.
What is Reliance Jio planning next? In a tweet, the company said on Friday, "Your digital life will never get interrupted again. #JioJuice Coming Soon."

To recall, Jio Prime is a membership for Reliance Jio customers, who could enroll with a one-time annual fee of Rs.99 along with a recharge of Rs.309/- and above. Jio Prime along with a validity recharge comes with a host of benefits which are mentioned below:
1. Unlimited benefits of free voice (Local, STD, Roaming to any operator, anywhere in India), SMS and 4G data which Jio users have been currently using till 31st March 2018 for just a nominal charge of Rs.399 for 70 days.
2. Complimentary benefit of Jio’s premium content bouquet which is worth Rs.10,000 for an entire year
3. More deals and offers which are announced from time to time.
The Jio Prime membership subscription was announced in February 2017 when the telecom operator officially made its paid services available to users. While the Rs. 99 Jio Prime subscription was standard for all prepaid and postpaid customers, it came with a validity until 31 March 2018, which ends this Saturday. As mentioned above, considering that there are over 160 million subscribers with Reliance Jio, we are expecting the company to renew this plan with some added benefits. That said, this time around, we are also expecting an increase in the subscription amount as well, but with justifiable additions to the benefits. While Jio Prime members get unlimited mobile data for a year (with 1GB daily FUP limit) coupled with the media and content benefits with the Jio apps suite, if you choose to not opt for the Jio Prime membership, you will be ported to a Jio postpaid or prepaid plan where you will have to pay for data as well as other services, however, not voice calls (including on roaming).
All Jio Prime members have received an entire suite of Jio apps for free, which includes music and content like movies as well as videos for free with Jio apps, until 31 March 2018. With a payment of Rs. 99 (inclusive of applicable taxes), Prime members were entitled to Jio Prime membership with a subscription for the period 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018. All Reliance Jio customers have the option to book Jio Prime membership just after subscription to any available prepaid or even postpaid plan with a payment of Rs. 99. The membership fees of Rs. 99, includes a one-time enrolment charge and is non-refundable.
